Anybody tried eye mascara on hair roots?

I need a quick touch up on my hair roots just for today. I havent got any hair dye, Im not going shopping today so Im just wondering if anybody ever tried eyelash mascara for the roots before. Of course only at the parting and where it is visible.


Surely if you can use mascara on your eyes, its not going to hurt your hair.

I do not recommend this, simply because the mascara can easily smudge on your scalp. which would be embarassing if anyone saw it!


The mascara will not damage your hair at all, and acts as a thickening, black colourant.

You can use it but you have to get one that matches your hair color. I have dark brown hair and tried black. It was a little messy and didnt look natural. And dont go out in the rain. They make a coloring just for that purpose. Go to Colormetrics.com. Its expensive though and you dont get a whole lot but it doesnt run or rub off till you wash your hair.
