dont worry. lol

just stick some moisturiser on b4 you go to bed and will be fine.
haha i have them too

maybe you should buy make up remover specified for sensitive eyes? i use garnier and it works really well since i swear liquid, shadow and mascara
i use sorbaline cream with cotton wool pads, then wash my face, usually after or next day i have to put a bit more cream on to get the access mascara off
Give your skin a chance to recoup...... drink water, rest, or take a hot shower. Don't worry......

  • My eye was just hurting, and I just pulled out a chunk of old mascara from it! How do I make sure that's it?

It kind of freaked me out! The chunk was as thick as a kindergartners pencil lead and about 1/5 of an inch long. It was kind of creepy! Is is bad if I have any more of that in my eye? How do I get it out if so?!

Thanks! My eye was just hurting, and I just pulled out a chunk of old mascara from it! How do I make sure that's it?
hey that bites huh? you can go to the pharmacy and get a kit to flush your eyes out w/saline. or just hold your head under running water and have the water run across your eyes. for most people this is too hard to do, so they have eye shaped ';cups'; that you place over the eye and i think you squish a bottle w/saline and it flushes the eye. i would call your local pharmacy and speak to the pharmacist and ask if they carry such a thing or if they know where you can get one. usually they carry such things at a medical supply store. then from now on make sure you take your makeup off every nite. old mascara can build up bacteria and possibly cause an eye infectionMy eye was just hurting, and I just pulled out a chunk of old mascara from it! How do I make sure that's it?
I would go see a eye doctor. Maybe he/she can put eyedrops in your eyes to clean them out. Also i would stop using the mascara for a little. If you keep putting it on all that can build up and potentially cause blindness. But i would definitly go see an eye doctor just in case you have anymore stuck in there maybe they can take a xray of your eye and like i said give you drops to clean it all out. Hope everything works out.
make up a cup of saline from cooled boiled water, with 1/4th tsp of salt, and rinse your eyes with this, if you have a special cup for cleaning eyes, that would be best to use, they are shaped like your eyesocket and keep the rest of you dry.

Also blinking and letting it weep will help, and perhaps consider getting your eyelashes dyed rather than wearing mascara would be better.
    i would go see adoctor.

Is there any way to get black mascara off w/out eye makeup remover?

My eyes are sensitive, i like waterproof mascara, but when i try to get it off with eye makeup remover (even the ones for sensitive eyes) it makes my eyelids sting. Does anyone know anything else i could use to get it off?Is there any way to get black mascara off w/out eye makeup remover?
You can take it off with lotion, or cleanser, when you wash your face. But you could also try using the make up remover, but instead of rubbing it on your eyelid to take it off fold up the wipe and brush it against your eyelashes only.Is there any way to get black mascara off w/out eye makeup remover?
It might not be good for your sensitive eyes but an effective way is to use soap, warm water and a lot of scrubbing with a facecloth.

Personally though I reckon you're better off with the makeup remover.
Yes. My favorite way is to grab like 6 bottles of lotion when i stay at a hotel and use that. If you can't do that, just take normal unscented lotion (even if it says do not apply to face or around eyes, you still do) your mascara will come off and it will feel so amazing.
Vaseline. I apply it and let it sit for 1 min or 2. Wipes right off.
I use a mixture of olive oil and castor oil to get my mascara off and all of my makeup off
Baby oil. It works. and it conditions the skin . just don't scrub it, soak a cotton pad in baby oil, shut your eye and hold the pad on it for a minute. Then start wiping in a downward motion GENTLY. It works very well and conditions the delicate skin around your eye. Just remember to always be gentle on that skin and your eyelids. you will thank me when you're 40 lol.
lots of water...just keep rubbing your eyes with water. it eventually comes off
I just use soap and water and then use some vasiline to wipe off the rst but it still does not come of completely, just dont ever use water proof mascara if you dont want a real chalange.
you can use water usually, but makeup remover is the best way
    wierd
You can use sensitive baby wipes to remove makeup as easily as anything else. They're specially formulated for use on sensitive skin, and they have a gentle soap in them. Gently wipe your makeup off with one. It's very effective, and you don't get greasy lotion or vaseline all over your eyes.
i dont know about mascara, but lotion is a great alternative to makeup remover.
Why do you wear mascara in the first place?

I sat next to a girl yesterday in class, and I noticed that she had tons of gloppy mascara on. It looked horrible!
vaseline works amazingly! JUst take a shower (with your make-up on) and let all of it run down your face or whatever. Then put vaseline on the areas where the make-up has run off, and wipe it off. It comes off really well! You can also use lotion, but it's a bt less effective.
There ain't no other comfortable way.

Just don't wear waterproof mascara. Then you can take it off with just soap.
try a gentle eyemakeup remover, because that takes off the makeup the best. Anything else will be too rough on your skin..
    i heard vasaline works
i use lotion, but i dont know if youd be too sensitive to that?
    baby oil on a q-tip.
Pond's Cold Cream. I've used it for years, and I, too, have sensitive eyes. Just be sure to use really soft tissue to wipe it off with.

What happens to your eye lash when you don't clean the mascara off?

my 3rd cuzen sed if you dont wash it off the bugs in you or sumthing like that will eat the mascera and your eay lash will get shorter...

will that realy happen i love my eay lash long. What happens to your eye lash when you don't clean the mascara off?
Your cousin is right, except his/her explanation is a bit unprofessional. He/she means your mascara might attract bacteria, which could make your lashes decay, and eventually break off. I also recently read that there actually are little mites that could crawl up your lashes, although this never happened to me ... I hope it never does.

Usually washable mascaras should be washed off once you use a cleanser to clean your face, but if you use waterproof, invest in a good eye makeup remover (like Neutrogena's Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover)

Because bacteria is easy to get in mascara, remember to close your mascara tube extra tight because you don't want anything gross getting in there. If you forgot about it and left it in the room opened for a day or so, chances are it dries out and attracted a lot of bacteria. In that case, throw it away, it's not worth it to ruin your eyes and get an infection just because you don't want to waste money. What happens to your eye lash when you don't clean the mascara off?
You're eyelashes are more likely to break and fall out if you leave the mascara in. Mascara clumps and hardens your eyelashes, therefore it is easier to break. Simply wash your makeup off at night with a makeup remover or baby shampoo.

Yes, there is a bug that feeds on the dead skin in your eyelashes. They are known as Demodex or more commonly as Eyelash Mites. It's more common than you think. I think about 1/3rd of the population have these mites. They are more likely to feed on hosts that wear heavy eye makeup. If you want to check to see if you're a host to these parasites, pull out an eyelash and place it under a microscope. They don't cause any harm to you, just a few unfortunate side effects (Acne, red skin, widened pores, etc.) Occasionally, one may experience itching or tingling of the infected area. (Think about that the next time your eye itches)

Proof: (I'm not just making up things to gross you out)

lol, ur cousin is just tryin to freak u out lol, but its not a good idea to leave it on cuz it easier fo ur eyelashes to get pulled out that way and not good for ur eyes if it runs into them(though this is not like, really bad or lasting at all) just wash it off gently with soap and water :)

ps. there are microscopic bugs on u but there on everyone and there good because they eat away ur dead skin, without them u would have to exfoliat like crazy lol. but they dont eat u eyelashes lol
I don't know about it eating your eyelash and making it shorter but often times not properly cleaning off eye make up can lead to stys, which are not fun. I know a lot of people use a small amount of baby oil on a cotton ball for taking off eye make up and they sell great/fairly inexpensive eye remover pads at most drug stores/department stores [ie. Wal-Mart] :D
Mascara basically coats your lashes with ';gunk'; that is food for bacteria. This bacteria will build up longer and get stonger the longer you leave it's ';gung'; food on your lashes.

So. If you don't mind bacteria building castles around your eyes...leave the mascara...by all means...
Leaving your mascara and eye make-up on overnight could mean that you wake up with sore or irritable eyes so it's always advisable to remove your make-up before falling into bed - no matter how tired you're feeling! You're eyelashes won't be brittle(which could make them fall off!)
First of all, it's awful to get off after a night's worth. It clumps and just yuck.

And I've heard that before, but i'm not sure if it's true.
OMG i leave it on all the time you can only get zits dont worry about it!!
My mother's lashes eventually fell out and never grew back. I suggest just washing it off, it's not like it's hard or anything.
    LOL no......

    Bugs eating them??? WTF?

The mascara w/ just rub off and your eyelashes might break off.......... and get shorter but they'll grow back.........

    infection.
Your lashes will break, and your cousin is right. There are microscopic bugs that eat mascara while you sleep...
    ur eyelashes explode
    Umm... Just wash it off...
i know it's bad to use the waterproof kind.
    no, not true.
ahh omg i have no idear
yeah well hope fully you take a shower often so...

Is it possibe to turn eye shadow into mascara?

i have a whole bunch of eyeshadow id ike to be colored mascara anyway i can do thatIs it possibe to turn eye shadow into mascara?
no..but you can buy coloured mascara at a local shoppers drug martIs it possibe to turn eye shadow into mascara?
Not really. The two products are just designed to work very differently. Even if you somehow worked the eyeshadow into a paste, it likely wouldn't stick to your lashes properly.

That having been said, you could try the following, if you still want colorful lashes:

    1. Buy colored mascara. Max Factor Vivid Impact Highlighting Mascara has some vibrant options, and you get two colors in each set.

    2. Very carefully apply ome eyeshadow to your lashes over a regular mascara before the mascara dries. This MIGHT work, but you're also very likely to get eyeshadow in your eye. that'll make them bloodshot, which will you look bad no matter what makeup you have on.

    3. Use colored ';hair mascara'; on your eyelashes. The product will say that you're not supposed to do this (which is fine, they need to protect themselves, and this way they can't be liable if you use it this way), but I've done it before with no ill effect. You can get some really crazy colors this way, too. Shimmer colors are fine, just stay away from glitter, which is really a hazard.
um,i've heard of using eyeshadow as eyeliner of sorts by mixing it with water then using an eyeliner brush to apply it. i guess you could try taking a brush from an old mascara and like rolling it in the eyeshadow/water mix... or you could take and old empty mascara rinse it out and then put the eyeshadow/water mix in it, and try using it like you would use regular mascara, no promises that it will work though.
I'm not sure. i doubt it though. Search it on youtube. You know they sell colored mascara, right? But, you can turn eyeshadow into lipstick and eyeliner. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gV68na9B鈥?/a>
    ABSOLUTELY Y ES!

omg don't listen to them. Mac Pro has a mixing medium line and its made for turning pigments and shadows into lip gloss, eyeliner, and mascara. you just squeeze a little of the ';mixing medium-lash'; and add your favorite eyeshadows then mix. then you roll a clean mascara brush in it and apply, and it has the same consistency of mascara.

its mac PRO so you cant find it at just nay mac counter. go to macpro.com and see which store in your area has PRO product, or you can just call and order one over the phone. or try ebay. but im 1000% positive you can do it.
    try looking at Urban Decay
